Through the years and many menu changes, Costco has maintained a good selection of very affordable food for members. Does anyone remember the short lived carne asada bake??? The $1.50 hot dog and drink as well as the pizzas ($9.99 whole and $1.99 slices) are the bedrock of the menu - please bring back the combo pizza!!! And, I see that someone posted onions are back? Do I need to ask for them when I get the hot dog??? On this trip, I just got a slice of pepperoni pizza. The dough was softer, pepperoni a little thinner (which makes the edges more crispy) but also made the pizza more oily. Still tasty and hard to beat the $1.99 price. Haven't tried the new cookie yet but I still wish they bring back the original (vanilla only) churros even if they have to charge $2.49 for each.

Costco's food court remains one of the most affordable places for a hot meal. Changes have occurred over the years, but here is a review including the latest release-- the double chocolate chunk cookie. Replacing the churro, the double chocolate chunk cookies are selling like hit cakes. In line, I've seen the entire shelf of cookies disappear 2 times before I even reach the front. It is a larger take of the cookies they sell in store, at over $2 a piece and over 700 calories. There doesn't seem to be any nuts, according to the ingredient list, so I let my nut allergy kid try it. She had it twice, and so far so good. They love the cookie, which is oven warmed and larger than their faces. As a cookie connoisseur, the texture and taste is decent, but the base of the cookie itself is kn the bland side. I highly recommend you get yhe soft serve ice cream, and make a ice cream cookie sandwich. The ice cream with its sweetness and coldness perfectly complements the warm slightly soft and chewy cookie. Is it better than the churro? Lets be real, it's been years since the churro has been good. Maybe a decade ago, it rivaled Disneyland churros as a cheaper, larger, slightly less tasty alternative, but in recent years it tasted old, stale, dry, and not desireable. I welcome the change. Other post covid changes include the $10 sandwich, which is one of the pricier items, but tasty. And my go to. The Chicken cesar salad is back. Its not that good, and the chicken is often on the punk side and questionable. The supreme pizza option, the polish dog option, and acai smoothies are off the menu, which I miss. The cold brew freeze is good. The classics like hot dog and drink and slice of cheese of pepperoni are as good as always. They alsi still have the chicken bake, which sometimes tastes like it's been baking a bit too long. Also ordering on the kiosks are amazing. The lines move much faster now. They rarely have the utensils you need, the soda caps are flimsy, where did the onions go, the drink dispenser area is often flooded, tables hardly get the wipe downs they need anymore, and the parking lot is still crazy.

Wow, they have new touch screen kiosk where you pay and show your receipt to the front window. Now they can concentrate on the orders instead of taking payment. Smart.
